We're PROUD of June

Updated: Jul 14, 2021

The only way we can explain how our team feels is to liken our experience to that of a butterfly - over a year being in hiding, waiting and missing our family and loved ones. Now the transformation begins and much of this life has changed into a more appreciative, and hopefully more socially aware populace. The new normal - as it's being called by many - won't actually change our day to day very much. Many of us will go straight back to the life we had before, and others haven't felt much change through the last year at all. On the flip side, so many have felt grave hardship and loss - even in your joy remember to be sensitive to the troublesome times we've encountered as a human race. As we celebrate Pride Month, be proud of who you are, be accepting of others, and let kindness and understanding be generous. We have an opportunity to restart this - let's be better, together and as individuals. Our doors are open and we're ready to see you! Come by our office anytime to chat about how you can move forward with this new world, or just to touch base with some pals! We can't wait to see everyone again soon.

Canada Greener Homes

The federal government has launched the Canada Greener Home Grants program. The new program that offers homeowners grants to retrofit their homes and make them more energy efficient.

They are offering grants of up to $5,000 that can be put toward energy-saving projects such as:

  • Improved insulation

  • Air sealing, thermostats

  • Energy efficient heating and cooling equipment

  • Solar panels

  • Energy-efficient windows and doors

The program will also include grants of up to $600 that can be used for EnerGuide home energy audits. The Canada Greener Home Grants program is expected to award 700,000 grants over seven years.

If you have any questions about the best way to green your house, like the best configurations we can connect you to an expert. We can connect you to a laneway house expert that could analyze your property with you for potential developments.

Carl's Traffic Report

Many people I know are taking their first tentative steps out into the world from what feels like a completely different existence. Sixteen months? It’s felt like so much more time than that. My hope is that after this big collective experience we can all use it to improve the way we live, work and play. The biggest lesson I’ve learned from it is that there’s more to life than work, and there’s more to work than money. With that understanding now baked into my bones, I’m going to concentrate on working with the clients who care for me as much as I care for them. I’m so happy today, some of my most cherished friends just reached out to me to start their hunt for their ‘escape from Toronto’ home. What’s your biggest take-away from this pandemic experience? Let me know, I’m at
