In July 2020, Carl Laudan opened the first EXP REALTY Branch Office in Toronto. After more than a decade working in real estate, Carl felt that combining the most technologically relevant and agent-centred Brokerage with a curated boutique-style luxury real estate office was finally possible. He now heads up a group of supportive, positive and creative real estate representatives and brokers who want to grow and excel at their trade. Their aim is to positively influence the overall profession and the practice of Real Estate trading in Toronto, Ontario, and Canada.

 

Educated at the University of King’s College in Nova Scotia, Carl’s appreciation of real estate started young when he studied abroad in the vibrant cultural capitals of Barcelona, Berlin and Prague. Embracing the spirit of art and architecture, he was drawn to Montreal where he met Katherine Schlemmer, designer for the office and listings. With so many buyers living more creative and entrepreneurial lives, Carl developed a keen eye for finding those hidden gems that spark reverie for creators. Whether it’s a storefront in Parkdale, a character home on Beaconsfield, a live/work space on Sherbourne, or a mansion on Brunswick - he believes there is potential everywhere. His joie de vivre is finding properties that can be transformed into specific and unique spaces for his clients.

 

Carl is also a Commercial Division member of the Toronto Real Estate Board, he works with investors and CEOs in addition to his residential clients, for whom he makes bespoke analysis tools. Like many of his friends in the arts and culture sector, Carl is dedicated to helping people achieve their personal goals, to humbly serve his clients and agents, and to curate the most rewarding experiences for them both financially and personally. For his clients, the economic foothold that comes with homeownership is one of their first steps to financial freedom. Carl’s primary goal for his agents is to help them secure their futures, so they can concentrate on perfecting their client services in the present.

 

Beyond all of this, Carl is highly dedicated to his community via support for Covenant House Toronto, which works to provide shelter, food, and immediate needs care to disenfranchised youth. He also enjoys learning about science and technology, and directs movies with Katherine in his spare time.
