Catherine studied design at Carleton University’s School of Industrial Design and graduated in June 2020. She’s been interested in design since she was a kid because she grew up surrounded by art, travelling with her family, and creating. Catherine has worked as a designer for the past three years, on a wide range of multidisciplinary teams. She’s a creative problem solver and who loves acquiring new skills and working with people to create amazing design experiences. Catherine is continuously working on design projects to support her endeavour of creating moments of joy for people’s daily lives. She knows that great design requires quality communication to understand the needs of users and to deliver solutions that elevate personal experiences.

 

Catherine is very passionate about research, ethical design practices, and learning how to better her communication skills. Her goal is to become fluent in as many languages as possible because when she was working in Tanzania on a school athletics project she realized that her favourite part of the design process is working with people and so much can be lost in translation.
